Finca Rabanales- Fraijanes, and Finca El Durazno, Jalapa.
Situated in the Fraijanes region, Finca Rabanales boasts high rainfall, lofty altitudes, and shifting humidity. Its coffee, grown on volcanic-rich soil at an altitude of 1400-1800m, exhibits characteristics of smooth caramel, chocolate, and soft fruits. In 1884, the founding father of the plantation, Don Gregorio Zamora, committed himself to producing high-quality coffee and began planting the first coffee trees himself, some of which still exist today. Five generations later, Finca Rabanales is now run by his great-great-grandchildren Rafael and Maria Elena. Rabanales is renowned for its exceptional coffee production, upheld by its unwavering dedication to tradition, family values, innovation, and sustainability.
Finca El Aceituno, Jutiapa Guatemala
Located at 4,000 feet above sea level in southeastern Jutiapa near Guatemala’s Pacific coast, Finca El Aceituno benefits from high altitude and cooling ocean winds that create ideal conditions for producing strictly hard bean specialty coffee. The region is known for coffees with full body, chocolate notes, and increasing potential for complex flavor profiles.
El Aceituno is a family-run farm owned by Celeste Fumagalli and her husband, Roberto Recinos. The farm was passed down from Celeste’s father, José Adolfo Fumagalli Saravia, and takes its name from an olive tree—aceituno—that once stood on the land, symbolizing the farm’s roots and heritage.
Blending tradition with innovation, this farm focuses on careful cherry selection, strict quality control, and sustainable processing through an ecological wet mill that reduces water use and regenerates soil. With a strong commitment to conservation, community development, and women’s empowerment, El Aceituno produces exceptional coffee while supporting the land and people behind it.
Finca Café Enon - El Tejar, Chimaltenango
Finca Café Enon is a boutique ecological farm nestled over 6,000 feet high over sea level in the Guatemalan mountains, making it one of the world's highest coffee crops. Because of the extreme high altitude, the coffee grows slowly and is naturally sweeter. Family-owned since 1865, it produces high-quality, strictly hard-bean Arabica Bourbon coffee.
Finca Enon cultivates coffee ecologically, using traditional methods for over a century. They employ sustainable practices like producing organic compost and conserving water and energy.
This Guatemalan coffee, grown for over a century on the farm using traditional methods, is sun-dried on handmade terracotta tiles made from clay sourced directly from the farm. With Grade A status, Café Enon's specialty coffee thrives in the shade of natural forests, ensuring the highest standards of taste and quality. Most recently, Finca Enon was a signature farm at the Guatemalan Coffees booth at the SCA.
Additionally, the farm serves as a home, school, and feeding center for 250+ children, with medical and sports facilities operated by Grace Ministries.
