ChocolateRed AppleDried Fruit

This is The Highlands. It comes off the highest mountainside, the last stretch of slope where coffee will still ripen. The air up there is cooler, so the cherries hang longer and the sugars keep concentrating the whole time. It's a sweet and refined cup with notes of chocolate, red apple, and dried fruit. Same family, same volcanic soil as our Don Rafa and Finca Reserve — just the top of the mountain.

About the Farm

Five generations near the Pacaya volcano

The Ventura family has been farming coffee for five generations near the Pacaya volcano, where volcanic ash continuously enriches the soil with minerals, creating ideal conditions for rich, distinctive specialty coffee. They also work with smaller local farmers, sharing knowledge and resources to help them reach their maximum potential.
